Have you ever been hurt by the church? Do you know someone who has been hurt by the church?
The church believes in a perfect, good God, but the people inside the church — just like people outside the church — aren’t always good and perfect. Records of people being “hurt by the church” are not new. In fact, we have stories in the Bible from the young Christian church and even earlier in the Old Testament when people were doubtless hurt by “the church” or its Jewish equivalent.
You are invited to participate — anonymously, if you want — in considering some of these stories and how some of these same “church hurts” may exist today. There are eight short studies here that were published in spring 2022 and remain available without giving your name or any personal information.
